An interior photography shoot at the historic Winter Gardens Pavilion in Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset. The pavilion is a significant part of Weston-super-Mare's seafront and its history as a major player in British seaside tourism. It was designed in 1924 by notable garden designer and town planner Thomas Mawson and town surveyor Harry Brown.
In 2015, North Somerset Council approached Weston College with the proposition of transferring the building to Weston College’s ownership in order to secure its future by restoring the historic 1920s portion of the building, and redeveloping the little-used 1980s conference facilities into an educational centre for its Law and Professional Services Academy and University Centre Weston. Wilton Carpets were commissioned to design and install new carpet as part of this fantastic restoration, and I was honoured to be able to photograph the transformation.
